Noot: Veel mensen hebben kritiek op de informatie van het voedingscentrum. Hun website legt veel zaken vrij helder uit maar de informatie is soms niet erg up-to-date. Onderzoek dat de afgelopen jaren is gedaan heeft hun artikelen meestal nog niet bereikt, dat kon ik ook zelf constateren. Wel heeft het centrum in 2016 veel van hun adviezen geüpdatet. Ook krijgt het voedingscentrum soms de kritiek dat ze zich laten beïnvloeden door de voedingsmiddelenindustrie.
